At this stage, there is no estimated time of resolution.

Vumatel has identified a break caused by third-party contractors working along the route.
Their teams are currently assessing the damage before localizing the exact point of the break.
There is no ETA on the outage as yet.


Please note that our upstream provider is still attending to the fault affecting the area.

They have confirmed that good progress is being made toward resolving the issue.

We are investigating the cause of the latest drop in connection. Technicians are returning to the site.

Problem identified: Connection to the area has been lost due to high losses on backhaul links leading into Newcastle.

Plan of Action: Technicians are moving along the feeder route, reducing the losses at several links. This will take time, but technicians will remain on site through the evening to continue work on these links. Several links have already been cleared. Further information will be provided.

Next update: 11PM.


Resolution:
The teams on the ground were able to complete repairs on the damaged cable in the early hours of the morning. All clints currently still offline will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

Further action necessary:
Due to proximity to water infrastructure, one link was not able to be fully repaired. This will need to be attended to. This repair will be communicated in advance.

Further maintenance:
Maintenance notices set between 02:00 and 06:00 will be posted during the course of the day. These issues are currently not client impacting, but they will be addressed to ensure stability of the network.
